In this intense drama, which takes place in and around a single phone booth in New York City, slick New York publicist Stuart Shepard (Colin Farrell) picks up a ringing receiver in a phone booth and is told that if he hangs up, he'll be killed. Turns out Shephard is being watched by a rooftop killer with a sniper rifle and the little red light from an infrared rifle sight is proof that the caller isn't kidding.

A really good, suspenseful movie. What surprised me is the fact a movie could be this good when most of it revolved around a guy in a phone booth. They really did an outstanding job picking the perfect cast for this movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the film. Yes to answer your question though it has a lot of language in this movie. Please beware.

Recommendable? Its a good thriller.

John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale are very romantic, funny and so charming that you can't help but sit up on the edge of your seat trying to uncover the twists and turns to see what will happen. Their smiles, glances, laughter and tears are so personal that you can't help but share their experiences. Not being a typical romantic person I did enjoy this story of what could happen if only we let ourselves go. "Serendipity" reminds us of all the things we already know; those fairy tale dreams that we carry within us. The only negative thing I must bring up incase you have children in the house is that they really didn’t need to put in the sex scene (no nudity seen). It didn’t have anything to do with the story and was very dumb. Other than that it was a cute flick.

Recommendable? Its cute.

Would I have it in my home? Undecided.

This movie should be a classic for years to come. The cast is brilliant. The story is fun and interesting. The baseball scenes are well shot. Tom Hanks and Geena Davis are outstanding. Tom Hanks plays the washed up, whiskey-soaked manager better than I really thought possible. And the women that played the members of his team were what made this a superb cast. Not only is this movie about American History and the game of baseball, it is about patriotism and priorities. I will watch this movie over and over again and will never get sick of the moral that it brings across.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? I really want to buy this one.

Meanwhile, Easter's girlfriend, Marlee (Rachel Weisz), tries to swindle the attorneys (Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman) to pay millions of dollars to have the jury return a verdict friendly to their clients.

I really enjoyed this movie. It has the twists and turns that are expected in a John Grisham story but also has some reality to it. The acting was phenomenal. Dustin Hoffman is legendary. There is no guessing where each lawyer stands during the movie, you can feel the emotion from all of them. What I did think was interesting was how a jury really can and probably has been swayed this way. Its amazing how the legal system is and how we can portray it in movies. This is a great movie, probably not for kids, but definitely a great film.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? I really want to buy this one.

I absolutely love this movie. It is one of my favorite animated films of all time. The voices are done perfectly, the music is unforgettable, and the animation is done well. I first fell in love with this story years ago when it came out and I still love it. The story is done so well that it will have you singing along one moment and wanting to cry the next. A perfect movie for the whole family to show for generations.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

One of the better animated Disney films that I have seen in years. This movie is surprisingly very funny, exciting, breathtaking, beautiful and awesome in its animation, especially the huge, panoramic battle scenes. This is definitely a movie to watch with the family, for sure. Especially if you just want to feel good, this is an enjoyable film to watch alone. The voices were very good, and now we know why Eddie Murphy went from a wise cracking dragon sidekick to a wise cracking donkey sidekick in "Shrek". His lines were hilarious and went with the flow of the story very well, very much like the way Robin Williams did "Aladdin". Definitely something to keep in your home forever.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

He begins stalking Steven, who's left to fend for himself because no one else can believe Chip's capable of such behavior.

This is another movie that I wanted to see because everyone talks about it and I hadn’t yet. Well first of all this is not one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies. There are some memorable quotes though. The acting was pretty decent, and you have a lot of star cameos, but nothing in the movie that would make me want to watch it again. And there weren't hardly any laugh out loud parts either.

Recommendable? It really depends on what your looking for.

Would I have it in my home? Probably not.

You know I really liked the first one but I hated this one. It had some moments that made me smirk, but nothing that made me laugh. The style is different from the first movie and the characters aren't even as funny. It was totally a disappointment. It was really hard to even call it a comedy. I think that is really sad considering it is a Steve Martin film. The plot made no since what so ever and was very weak where it did. It also seemed that the character of Inspector Clouseau itself was changed from original. It was a disappointment. If you are a fan of the first film really don’t waste your time with this one.

Recommendable? Not really.

I was extremly surprised with this movie. This is a very entertaining Sci-Fi fantasy thriller, that has a complex, fast moving story and pretty good acting. Dakota Fanning is extremely likable, Djimon Hounsou is convincing and formidable. Chris Evans is not my favorite lead hero. I still see him as Johnny Storm and was waiting for the FLAME ON. I am still in shock how grown up Dakota Fanning has become. She plays these older roles very well, I was very impressed. All in all there were a few flaws but that aside it was original and clever. The alternate universe concept that everyone is starting to use is interesting. I found it to be worth watching and in fact enjoyable.

Recommendable? Pretty good.

Would I have it in my home? Probably.

The voices are well done, especially that of Patrick Warburton, but the story is dopey and I don't care what anybody says, inter/species love interests are just dumb. A good animation that is killed by the silliness.

Recommendable? Not Bad.

Okay I would like someone to tell me how on earth these movies are staying in the PG ratings. There is no way I would allow my young child to watch this movie let alone the last 4 installments. Sure I am a Harry Potter fan but the movies to not do the books any justice and really don’t follow the story very well. This installment did have me jumping and the actors, with the exception of Dumbledore, do a very good job. All I can say is that the book is much better and I think the movie gets way too much praise.

Recommendable? Not Bad.

While this wasn’t as good as the first installment it was still entertaining. Many people give this movie a hard time, but I would see it again. The action is intense and will have you jumping at every turn. I do agree that they make the robots too human like but that is only my opinion. The acting by the parents is still cheesy an even annoying but they were that way in the first one too. If you are a Transformer fan you will enjoy this movie if not well than don’t blame me.

Recommendable? Not Bad.

This might be the most fun I've had watching a sci-fi film. All the promise you see in the previews is fulfilled in this film and more, which is a rare thing anymore. The story is very well done and I was surprised how well the actors matched who they were portraying in a younger persona. I think it would be great if they make another installment because this was fantastic entertainment. Really there is nothing else to say without giving away the whole story, just see it and you will understand why we loved it so much.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

We only watched the movie to see if it would be better than the TV show or other movies since it was more recent. This film takes elements from both the movies and the TV show and blends them together in to an unclear story line. Really a silly movie, pretty pointless, and very much avoidable.

Recommendable? Not really.

This movie was completely charming from start to finish and so romantic. I liked it way more than I thought I would just reading the description. This wonderful film gave me the background behind this remarkable woman, the artist, feminist, conservationist, and philanthropist. I found it very informative and educational. The history was presented in a very pleasant way. Miss Potter was way before her time. The performances by Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor are flawless. I worried that the animation would be a corny gimmick, but it was used artfully to reveal the inner life of the artist. Miss Potter's life story is inspirational on so many levels. All ages will enjoy this film.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? Absolutely.

The Tuxedo (2002)

A decent movie that will entertain but not one of Jackie Chan's best movies. The story is the weak part of this movie and it is not Jackie's expertise but the suit that gives him his skills. Jackie is likable as always and the other characters have their own charms but this just an average movie overall. Worth the watch but you might want to try some of Jackie's other movies first. If you are looking for a fantastic film, then move on to something else, this movie is truly just average. It is fun and entertaining, however is not all that interesting and the best way to describe it is goofy. The movie will leave you with a few laughs, slightly annoyed and utterly indifferent. However the movie is funny enough that you will be able to sit through it and enjoy the film as long as you have low expectations. Overall this is a film that you should probably pass on and wait for it to be shown on television.

Recommendable? It was cute and would be good for the family.

Would I have it in my home? Probably not.

His alter ego's hunt culminates in a fateful battle between good and evil that changes Gabriel's perception of reality and forces him to examine the evil hidden within himself.

I really enjoyed the show. The special effects were very good. I liked the interesting idea of a multiverse. The story was well played out. There sure was a lot of action and sci-fi.

This was a fantastical journey of heroic proportions. If anyone can pull of a role like this it has to be Jet Li. Impressive fight sequences, a clever plot, and a supporting cast with just the correct blend of strength, humor and compassion. The multiverse, as seen through this movie, was a different concept that other movies have hinted at but not took to the level of this movie. This movie was very entertaining and was worth seeing.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? Need to buy this one.

Field of Dreams is a touching, beautiful story of fantasy, family and forgiveness. Field of Dreams takes you on an emotional journey. I find that this movie has something for everyone. The beauty of this movie is in its emotional simplicity. It simply is. Sure, it is about baseball, but it is also about so much more. At the end of this movie, no matter the number of times I have seen this movie, I find myself with tears in my eyes at the end. Kevin Costner is absolutely fantastic in this movie, so is Amy Madigan. James Earl Jones gives one of the greatest monologues that just ties everything together. I highly recommend it. People should watch, people should most definitely watch this.

With help from gumshoe Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) and smart-aleck rookie cop Lee Butters (Chris Rock), Riggs and Murtaugh aim to take down Ku and his gang.

Best one yet. One of the few movie series in history that gets bigger and better with each release. I usually don’t find Chris Rock to be funny enough to bother watching, but he works out OK as a minor character that gets constantly ripped on by other people who are actually smart and funny. Other than the minor irritation of Chris Rock this movie is practically flawless in its overwhelming supply of great comedy and action. Amazing film it was awesome.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? Not really sure.

Usually sequels don't get any better and only ruin a series. However this movie was just as much fun as the other two. All the comedy, action, and drama are there. Throw in a growing romance and you've got another great movie. Filled with awesome gun fights, high speed car chases, and the usual Lethal Weapon humor we have all come to know and love. The story is a little on the weak side in this movie though. It's one of those seen that before kind of plots. But the action and comedy save the movie, and make it a must see for fans of the series.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

One of those rare sequels that actually surpasses the original. Everything about this film works. The chemistry between the two has gotten even better, the action scenes are incredible, there's humor a plenty, and the bad guys are the kind who'll love to hate. I can hardly wait to see the next in the series to see how different that one is.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Being a legendary action-comedy thriller, this movie has it all. I was thinking this would be one of those cheesy buddy cop style movies with a shallow plot. I was actually surprised! Gibson and Glover perform superbly together and will have you laughing through the whole movie. Watch as these two unlikely partners unravel a grizzly crime. Danny Glover and Mel Gibson have great chemistry in this action filled movie. I highly recommend this movie. This was a great action thriller! Anyone will love this film if they love action, adventure, cliff-hangers, of suspense. This is a great film for anyone!

Recommendable? Absolutely.

All I have to say is, this might be the best Ben Stiller movie I have ever seen. This movie is so fun and so comical. This was an amazing movie! The plot was great and the characters were memorable. Stiller did an amazing job as did Williams. The time went by so fast and didn't drag on at all. This is a perfect family flick and should be in each families home.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

All I have to say is, this might be the worst Jack Black movie I have ever seen. My husband thought it was funny at parts but I could not stomach it, it was just stupid. I am honestly surprised that people sit and watch these types of movies over and over. No I would never recommend this movie ever, sorry.

Jackson) begs him to rethink his plans. Mike needs to write another book soon, and room 1408 may be his ticket to the top of the best-seller list. But will he survive even one night?

Great movie. It starts out slow and steady, and gradually squirming and jumping in your seat with all the twists and turns. It is done so well that you will be expecting things out of the corner of your mind, but which you do NOT see coming at the particular moments in which they do. Terrific effects and an even an ending that will keep you guessing. Top rate acting all around. The dialog is a bit weak, but you could almost enjoy this movie on mute as the story line is moved along more through visually rather than spoken. It didn't need strong dialog to be very impressive.

Recommendable? Pretty impressive.

And when the dust settles, who will remain standing?

Although I really enjoy movies with Jason Statham and Jet Li this one was a little hard to follow. Even after the end came around I was still scratching my head and wondering how it all happened. There was pointless violence and nudity so definitely not a family movie. All in all the mystery was pretty good but the story was patchy and hard to follow. Statham was great with all his stunts of course, but that is to be expected.

Recommendable? It was okay, not for everyone though.

Would I have it in my home? No.

This is a really fun action comedy. The only down side is the language that starts to show up during the intense scenes. The comedy is subtle yet obvious at times, it makes for a very entertaining movie. We have watched over and over and still get a kick out of it. Fun old movie.

Recommendable? Fun movie, maybe not for everyone.

This is one of our all time favorite James Bond movie. Pierce Brosnan is awesome, handsome, sexy and all that James Bond needs to be. The action is great, the story intriguing, and the explosions fun. This should be added to everyones Bond collection.

This is an interesting twist to how sci-fi movies are done. I have never seen one quite like it. It will have you trying to figure out where the story will take you from the very beginning. Vin Diesel is amazingly a decent actor. Sure some of his lines are kinda cheesy but he plays the tough guy part really well. If you like intense sci-fi action this is for you. Good choice.

Recommendable? Pretty good, probably not for everyone.

This will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Harrison Ford is phenomenal in this intense film. You can feel the emotion as the man is forced to choose between his family and his country. It really rips out your heart as you see the anguish in the mans face. I love this movie and could see a million times over.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

This classic remake is wonderful. I love how they show the history and the progression of the legend of Zorro and all that he meant to the people. The actors in this film were phenomenal. I never could have chosen any better. This is an absolute must see.

As they work hard together to prepare for the examination, the man and boy forge a friendship that could heal the wounds of both their pasts.

This movie was a favorite of mine when I was younger. Now that I have seen it as an adult I am kind of surprised I was allowed to watch it with all the language that is in it. The acting is superb but just be mindful that if you don’t want to hear a child drop off swear words this is probably not for you. The moral and story of the movie is very well done and easy to understand. The only downfall is the language that was not needed to get the point across. I will let you be your own judge of this one.

Recommendable? I would probably suggest that kids stay away.

Absolutely a wonderful film that can be shared with the whole family.

This movie was surprisingly well done. I really didn’t know what to expect and was pleased with how well the story flowed. I am not one for the sappy love stories but this one had intrigue, danger and romance that made the end result a masterpiece. These two actors work so well together it is hard to doubt the chemistry between them. This is a wonderful film that can be shared with the whole family.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

This movie is awesome. The action is great. The actors are all phenomenal, and the story is fun. I personally love how the history of the time is brought out in a way everyone can love. This movie will have everyone loving the history and romance of the medieval time period. It is one of Heath Ledger’s best films ever.

This movie is one of a kind. I have yet to see another movie that puts these types of twists on a futuristic aimed film. Michael Bay’s way of seeing the world is very unique and makes way to fantastic movies. I can honestly say that this is one of the only movies I can stand Scarlett Johansson, she just really only has one type of character she can play without being seen as too inappropriate. This is a very surprising film and has you guessing constantly. Great sci-fi.

This movie was honestly really surprising. Since I have never read any of Isaac Asimov’s work I was nut really sure what to expect. This movie really brings to light what a world with robots could really be like. Will Smith is getting better and better with each movie that he does. It is amazing how one actor can bring so much to a movie. This movie will have you thinking along with the characters to try to solve the mystery. Very well done.

With plenty of action, special effects sequences and pithy one-liners, Independence Day is one of the 1990s' best popcorn flicks.

This has been one of my favorites for years. Sure it has lots of cheesy lines but all in all the film is fun and action filled. This is a classic sci-fi flick that will have you hoping and at the edge of your seat at all the right spots. If you love the classic sci-fi movies you’ll love this one.

The animation was one of a kind and the voice acting was very well done. This one is going to be hard to beat is all I can say.

Set in early 1900s Vienna, this lush period drama from writer-director Neil Burger earned an Oscar nod for Best Cinematography.

This was done amazingly well. It will take a few times watching the film before you are thoroughly understand what happens. I love movies that have you guessing at every turn. I was amazingly surprised at how well Norton and Biel did in this time period set movie. The characters were believable and well played. This might not be for the whole family but is definitely worth watching.

This brings a fun look at how dating can be so complicated at times. This is a movie I can watch over and over again. The Smith and James combination was genius. You’ll be laughing for hours.

I love this movie. It has everything that I love in a movie that I can share with everyone. The history factor is awesome, the animals are beautiful and the acting is well done. This adventure is one that the whole family can enjoy. This is honestly one of the best historical/old west movies I have seen in a while. I love how they brought in a moral to the story along with the rest of the adventure. All in all it was fabulous.

Not only does this tell a wonderful yet said story but it also brings music into the home that lingers forever. Bring this into your home and you wont regret it.

Considering this is a high school flick it was done really well though. I have always enjoyed movies that are more on the odd and supernatural. For the most part the special effects were done well. There were a few scenes that it was noticeably CGI, which isn’t bad since it was only a few. The actors were surprisingly good. Considering they are all kids they did a really good job. You really weren’t left hanging during any part of the story. All in all this was a good movie and I really wish they would have made a sequel.

This is one of my childhood favorites. I just love how they made this movie. It is one of the best mystery movies of all time in my opinion. This was done fantastically well and considering how old the movie is I never get tired of watching it. I would recommend this movie to every family.

Here is another favorite in our household. This new Bond I think is genius. I love how he seems like a real man. He shows emotion, shows pain, and shows that he does make mistakes. Though there are some that thinks this new Bond is a cliche to the character, we loved it. The story is awesome, the special effects are breath taking, and Bond is as good looking as ever. Now all we need to know is how many more are there going to be and when are they coming out. I can hardly wait.

We LOVE this movie. This is an awesome family film that never gets old. Even after watching hundreds of times with kids I can still say this is one of my favorite animated films. This is a must see for the entire family, no question about it.

This was honestly better than I thought it was going to be. I am typically not a fan of kung fu movies, however this wasn’t that bad. I was also really skeptical of having Seann William Scott as some what main character. I have not like any of his previous movies, they were all pretty lame. Even though he is not a serious actor the character he played suited that. After overlooking his acting skills I was able to enjoy the rest of the film. Yes it is not realistic but the story line is decent and the moral is good. Overall it was a decent film and is worth watching.

This is one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. Sure there are some adult scenes, so parents beware, but the story is great. I could watch this movie over and over and still be thrilled. This is the best I have ever seen Goldie Hawn and am glad we own it. If you do watch this keep in mind it was made in 1990 so don’t be too harsh on it. Its the best 19 year old movie I have seen in a while.

This was a lot better than I expected. I typically think Ben Stiller movies are going to be stupid funny with no real point, however this one was pretty decent. I truly enjoyed the humor, story line, and moral to the story. The acting was done well too, and who doesn’t love Hank Azaria. This is a good movie for a lazy day where you just want to relax and have a few laughs.

We love this movie. It is one of my favorite movie of all time. I loved how they were able to combine romance, drama, sci-fi and mystery all into one. I had no idea something from a simple MTV animated show could be so entertaining. If you are a lover of futuristic sci-fi films this is a great movie for all ages.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

We love this movie. It is one of my husbands favorite all time movie. I am still amazed how well they did with the special effects and all the different camera views they were able to use. This movie is a classic and should be seen by all. In my opinion this is what started the real trend with the sci-fi movies now a days.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

I am really not sure how I feel about this movie. It looked so promising from the previews. Sadly it starts out a little too questionable for me and never really turns around from there. It was a little too cheesy in some parts and inappropriate in others. Its definitely not a family movie and should only be watched by adults. If you are really into the whole cheesy romance, adult humor movies than you will probably like this. It just wasn’t for me.

Recommendable? Not so much.

This was such a fun movie. I have to say its even more fun after you have read the book but either way it is very entertaining. This is a fun movie that can be enjoyed by the whole family and can be a conversation piece for quite some time.

I was so looking forward to seeing what Zach Braff has to offer outside of Scrubs, boy was this disappointing. This was not a good look for this funny guy. Serious is not his forte. The story was hard to follow and the main characters were just a let down. All I can say is that I am glad I didn’t waste money seeing this in the theater.

Recommendable? Not so much.

Would I have it in my home? Sadly but no.

This is honestly one of the best movies I have seen in a while. The story line is exciting, the characters are easy to get attached to, and the acting is flawless. This is a perfect example of what a romance/comedy/action movie should be like. I could watch this over and over and never get tired of it. I just can’t say anything else about it other than it was great.

Recommendable? Absolutely a must see.

I have to honestly say I think I had my hopes a little too high. It was a cute movie but I am just not excited about the combination of actors they chose. All the acting seemed a bit forced for me and made the movie a little cheesy. I know lots of people that loved this movie though. All I can say is that the dog was the best actor in the whole film.

Recommendable? So so, if you like cheesy feel good movies.

Would I have it in my home? Not really sure.

This is done outstandingly well. This movie will have you panicking, thinking and searching along with the characters. There are so many twists and turns in the story that it is hard not to. If you enjoy good thrillers then this movie is for you.

This was actually a spin off of a Shakespearean like play that is scene in the modern times. This movie is fun for a date night with your special someone.

It is always fun to see Kevin James in fun family comedies though and he was very good as the leading man in this film. There was some extreme stunts done by some X-game competitors and they were all very entertaining. Its amazing what you can do with a bike, skateboard or just by running. The movie is fun for the whole family and is worth renting just be warned its not as funny as it sounded.

Recommendable? Good movie.

This movie was extremely well done. I have to say that this was the best I have seen Tom Cruise since Mission Impossible so many years ago. I love how they showed the strife that parts of Germany were feeling. You could really feel the emotion that was coming from the characters. From a history stance it was moving to see the other sides of things and to see how some of the government was feeling towards the war. This really was done outstandingly well.

Recommendable? Most definitely.

Promiscuous Gina (Renee Zellweger) provides a counterpoint to love-struck Corey (Liv Tyler), who's hiding her feelings for a co-worker.

This is another oldie but a goodie. Once again it took me a while to see this older film, but after some persuasion from my husband I finally sat down and watched it. This was a fun movie to watch and remember high school and the silly things we all did. There are some really talented actors in the cast and it was fun to see them when they were younger. This is a really laid back, easy going movie. Great to watch when you really just want to relax and hear good music and laugh.

Recommendable? Fun flick.

This film was done beautifully. Yes I would have to say that I did enjoy the book better but just for the reason that it goes more in depth in certain areas. However you really can’t expect them to be able to fit a 200-300 page book in a 2 hour movie, it just wouldn’t work. This film was really good at showing how sacred places can be infiltrated by evil people and plans can go horribly wrong. That was the main point o the story I think and the movie portrayed that well. I loved the character choices that were done with each actor. They all were marvelous. Tom Hanks is legendary and is such a talented actor. I have yet to see something he is not good in. The film was a success, well done.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

Would I have it in my home? Absolutely.

This was an awesome movie. I can’t believe it took me this long to see this one. This is what is called good all around fun. I love how these three unbelievable actors worked together on this film. Together they made this film build a moral and comedy. This should be added to everyones movie library.

Recommendable? Absolutely.

This is good wholesome family film. Kinda cheesy for an adult audience but I can see how kids would like it. It wasn’t the best I have seen Dwayne Johnson do but he is still a good actor and I will watch more of his movies. Since I have seen the original Witch Mountain movies that were done in the 70’s it was fun to see the difference they have compared to this new version. They all are fun and would be fun to see with the whole family.

Recommendable? Its a fun family film.

I actually saw this movie twice and had different takes each time. The first time I saw this film was with young kids. I really could not stand the happy go lucky feel. I felt like if they were going to make this type of movie it should all be a cartoon. I never saw the humor in it, just got annoyed. The second time I saw it with my husband and really enjoyed the movie. It was a little easier to see the humor in the story and pick up on all the humor. Not sure why it took me that long to realize it was a cute movie, but it is and is fun to watch.

Recommendable? Its a fun family film.

Really I can’t say too much with out giving it away but this is an outstanding film and is highly recommendable.

I was pleasantly surprised this movie. I really thought it was going to be some really stupid guy movie but it actually turned out to be pretty funny. Yes the plot is kinda dumb and yes there are some crude jokes but there is a moral and some hilarious spoofs and great lines. I don’t typically enjoy these types of movies but I glad my husband added it to our list.

Recommendable? Surprisingly yes, I would recommend.

Would I have it in my home? Not really sure.

This actually surprised me. This movie fits its title, it is a curious story. This story was behind unbelievable. It was hard to connect to the characters because of the odd story. Your left thinking “this would never happen”. This was really just an odd movie and was just hard to follow. The book sounds so much more interesting and sounds like it had more potential than what actually came out in film. I know there are people that really enjoyed this movie to them I say good for you. You must have understood it better than me.

Recommendable? Not really but it is interesting.

Would I have it in my home? I can’t see us owning this one.

This was still a good kids movie, I just would rather see different ones. Since the movie had a all star cast I just figured it would be better than it was. Oh well I know several kids that liked it and that is who it was meant for.

Recommendable? Not great, but ok if you need another kids flick.

Would I have it in my home? I can’t see us owning this one.

I found myself actually understanding the strife these characters were going through as I imagined what it would be like if that was me and my best friend. This movie was very relatable and I highly recommend it to women in the dating scene or just want a good laugh.

Recommendable? Not bad, pretty good actually.

Would I have it in my home? I can’t see me buying it but I would keep it if it was given.

Wow! I am speechless, seriously. This was phenomenal!! This I have to say is one of the best action movie I have seen this year. Liam Neeson was phenomenal. Who would have thought that he could play this type of character so easily. I was literally hanging on to my seat the entire time. Outstanding is all I can say. This is a must see.

Recommendable? Awesome movie.

Summary

Two faiths, two empires, two rulers - colliding in 1588. Papist Spain wants to bring down the heretic Elizabeth. Philip is building an armada but needs a rationale to attack. I really thought that this film was well done. The cast and director really grasp the historical points beautifully. What better way to thoroughly enjoy our heritage and our history. I could not have chosen a better, strong actress other than Cate Blanchett. She was inspiring, emotional, and overall jaw dropping. I applaud this movie, very well done.

Recommendable? Great historical movie.

Would I have it in my home? I can see us owning this one.

Summary

The famed pet detective returns in this sequel to the 1994 hit. Ace travels to the jungles of Africa with explorer Fulton Greenwall (Ian McNeice) to recover the flying mammal; if they fail, a war with the violent Wachootoo tribe is sure to follow.

I typically love watching older movies that we can remember from when we were younger. This film however was just not as much fun to watch or funny as I remember. I know my husband enjoys the older Jim Carrey movies but I am really not and really don’t want them in my home. This was funny way back when but his newer movies are so much funnier and better done. I really wouldn’t suggest this one but you don’t have to listen to me.

Recommendable? Definitely a dumb guy movie, beware.

Would I have it in my home? We will not be buying this one.

Summary

I love watching older movies that we can remember from when we were kids. This film was just lots of fun to watch whether for the comedy, the mystery or just for fun. This movie has legendary actors and is done wonderfully. This is a movie that everyone should have in their house and watch with their kids.

Recommendable? Great movie, see it soon.

Summary

Bolt tells the story of a dog who plays a heroic dog in a hit TV show and has some trouble recognizing that he doesn't even have superpowers. This becomes something of a hindrance when he is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City. From there he has to make his way home with the help of a mangy alley cat and an overweight hamster in a plastic ball.

This was a fun movie. Sadly enough I really did not have high hopes for this film. But having the fun husband I have we went ahead and watched it. It definitely didn’t disappoint, actually it was surprisingly good. I enjoy the animated films they are coming out with any more. Most of these films actually have morals to them again. This is a fun film to watch whether you have kids or not, its just fun and it will make you laugh. Great film go see it when you can.

Recommendable? Fun family movie.

Would I have it in my home? We will probably buy this one.

Summary

Annie Braddock graduates from college as an anthropology major and freezes during the interview for an internship at a big corporation. To find herself, she takes a job as a nanny in Manhattan's toney Upper East Side, tells her mother she got the internship, and moves in with the X family - a cheating husband, a control-freak wife, and Grayer, a lad of five. Mrs. X works the nanny day and night while neglecting her son. As the summer wears on, Annie is chatted up by a young man in the building, dubbed Harvard Hottie. She puts her anthropology skills to use to save her sanity, but how long can she suffer? Will she speak up, and will she discover who she is?

This movie was pretty well done. We enjoy watching movies that are family based. It was amazing to see Scarlett Johansson in a film that is appropriate for the whole family. The film had a wonderful moral and it was good to see a film that taught a lesson at the end. I did enjoy that all the important characters had a happy ending and learned the lessons they were supposed to. I can honestly say I don’t regret watching this one.

Recommendable? Fun family movie.

Nim's Island (2008)

Summary

When the young island-dwelling Nim (Abigail Breslin) loses contact with her scientist father (Gerard Butler) who's lost at sea, she reaches out to her favorite author (Jodie Foster) for help. Problem is, the writer, of adventure stories no less, is a recluse who hasn't left her house in years. Can the agoraphobic author summon the same courage she's instilled in the hero of her novels in time to rescue her biggest fan?

This movie was pretty well done. We enjoy watching movies that are family based. It helps us find movies we would want our children to watch some day. This film was a little cheesy, but most kids adventures are. It was fun to see how resourceful the main characters were. I think that it is a good film to teach kids that they may be small but they can do anything they set their minds to. Great film to watch with the whole family.

Recommendable? Fun family movie.
